My weight loss didn’t start until i tinkered with this and dropped my daily intake of protein to 45-55g per day at the time i wasn’t exercising, and i am 5′ 8″ eating more protein than your body needs will lead to your body breaking down the protein into glucose, keeping your blood sugars high and blocking your keto-adaptation. No i dont count calories i eat minimum 20g carbs a day or less or i try to you dont need to exercise but it helps to tone up as you lose weight i lost 7lb in the 1st 2 weeks and although everyone is different you can lose 2 to 3lb per week, on average but as said above, its not a diet its a lifestyle.

Gigi, i too have had my ups and downs with lchf. i experienced initial weight loss quickly, and have hit plateaus periodically since then. i have long-term type 2 diabetes (poor control for many years)/metabolic syndrome, and find that as soon as i allow carbs to start creeping back in i stop losing weight and lose tight control of my blood sugar.. By the way, anyone else (besides me) have problems losing weight on lchf? i read these success stories of amazing weight loss in a short time period (congratulations, by the way), but neither my wife nor i experienced that. we both lost a quick 20 pounds (say, 10 kilos), then stopped losing..
